Hollywood Lighting continued...

This is the image that I chose to base my own attempts at using hollywood style lighting on ...

I really liked how the shadow contrasts with the harsh light on the rest of the face creating a more dramatic effect. However I think that although the lighting is actually very harsh for a female subject this isn't the mood that it creates, Because of the way she is looking up into the light and the expression she is using it gives more of a innocent and thoughtful look. 

Because I was using constant lighting instead of strobe lighting I could see the exact effect it would be creating on the face as I moved the lights with out having to fire a flash to test. However this did mean that the lights got very hot quickly so moving the 'barn doors' had to be done as quickly as possible.
